Biography

Aybuke Akkus is a U.S. immigration attorney and the Managing Attorney of Akkus Law. She represents companies, entrepreneurs, professionals, and families in employment-based and family-based immigration matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Labor, the Department of State, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Her practice spans the full range of employment-based and family-based immigration matters. Clients include companies, founders, professionals, and families. What connects the work is the task at its center: taking a person’s history, a company’s need, or a family’s circumstances and presenting them clearly and persuasively.

Aybuke brings nearly a decade of experience in U.S. immigration law. She has extensive experience not only with initial filings, but also with the substantive work that follows: responding to Requests for Evidence and other government notices, handling motions and appeals, and navigating Department of Labor audits.

Aybuke’s clients tend to describe the same thing: she tells them what she actually thinks. She will say when a case is strong, when more work is needed, and what it would take to put it in the best possible position before a filing begins, rather than after.

Aybuke Akkus is admitted to practice in California and in Istanbul, Turkey. Her practice is limited to matters of U.S. federal immigration law, which she is authorized to handle nationwide.
